The aim of Sensory Integration Network is to promote education, good practice and research into the theory and practice of Ayres' Sensory Integration, we do this by:
- Providing Master’s accredited training for therapists (OT/PT and SALT) in collaboration with Ulster University to support the education and practice of Ayres’ Sensory Integration in the UK and abroad.
- Through sharing of knowledge, skills and research, ensuring quality and fidelity to the practice of Ayres’ Sensory Integration and related approaches in the UK and abroad.
- Providing other relevant training courses and learning opportunities about Ayres’ Sensory Integration for therapists and others including education, health and social care professionals, parents and carers as well as those with sensory processing difficulties.
- Promoting awareness of Ayres’ Sensory Integration to professional and public audiences.
- Facilitating collaboration and research, building on the knowledge base relevant to the development of the theory and practice of Ayres’ Sensory Integration.
- Providing support to those engaging in research of Ayres’ Sensory Integration to:
- Individuals
- Groups
- Teaching and learning institutions
- Health and social care providers
- Other organisations
- Disseminating and translating current research and science supporting Ayres’ Sensory Integration to help make it meaningful and accessible to a diverse professional and public audience
