SI Network was at the NAS Professional Conference in Manchester. The conference was attended by wide range of people including teachers, therapists, psychiatrists, those with a lived experience of the Autistic Spectrum, carers and nurses.
Kath Smith, Sue Allen and Ros Urwin were helped to run the SI Network stand by Ellie Davies, Occupational Therapist who had a poster in the main poster display area, and Dr Helen Pearce.
Dr Pearce has attended SI Network training, and works closely with OT's in her team to integrate sensory integration therapy into the services her trust delivers for forensic learning disability users - including those in secure services. Helen also uses the theory to inform her assessments and practice as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
We were delighted to meet Steve McGuinness, NAS Counsellor, and Director of Msitua, who will be working with us to develop new areas on our website.
