We’re thrilled to announce that our Director of Learning and Development, Kath Smith, was highly commended in the Senior OT of the Year category of the OT Awards, announced at the OT Show in the NEC, last week. Kath was nominated for her tireless efforts to raise the profile of Occupational Therapists, through education, training, research and clinical excellence.
As Kath was unable to attend the ceremony herself the award was accepted on her behalf by Greg Kelly, Course Director for the Post Graduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters in Sensory Integration at Ulster University. Jen Gash, the judging panel chair, who presented the award, told the EmphaSIze Team “We were delighted to read this fabulous entry and hear about Kathryn’s excellent work – what a great ambassador for the OT profession”.
On behalf of all involved in the SI Network we send huge congratulations through to Kath and thank her for all the work she does for the SI Network and beyond.
