Accredited, High-Quality Sensory Integration Courses
ESIC 2015 is an amazing opportunity for therapists to be able to showcase the difference sensory integration makes to everyday life for the clients we treat.
At ESIC 2015 we are launching what is right now affectionately known as "the little blue book" - a compilation of case studies and personal stories about Sensory Integration and the difference it can make to someone's life, alongside basic definitions about SI and smatterings of the research evidence supporting SI - a coffee table type book it will have superb photography kindly donated by 2nd year photography students from Falmouth University and their tutor editorial and portrait photographer, Andreas Sterzing.
This book and what we hope it will achieve is something that you, our member therapists, have asked for, and will be something you can share in your therapy department or clinic, take to management meetings and use to illustrate what sensory integration is and isn't.
We cannot make a difference and spread the word about SI without you. We get many request from all of you about how we can support you when managers and others ask for evidence and information about sensory integration, but without you, we cannot make this happen.
You may have heard this story before - but please read it again.
Remind yourself about how the one story you provide may give someone hope and support, how it may help a manager agree to fund a course or SI Introduction Day for a therapist, or comfort a parent who feels their world is collapsing around them as they struggle to access services.
Don't think someone else will do it...each of you will have at least one case that stands out and that you might be able to share and you will all know the inspirational and supportive parent or carer or service user who is delighted by how SI has helped or changed their life. Please pass this email on to them or a colleague who like you may be passionate about SI.
Please submit your story or case study here. The closing date is 30th July 2015.
