Introduction to Sensory Integration and Trauma in Children
This 1 day course will provide an insight into sensory integration and its application and links to developmental trauma / early childhood trauma and attachment issues , which can include; early loss or lack or consistent caregiver, emotional, physical or sexual abuse, various forms of neglect and medical or life-saving procedures.
This is a foundation level trauma and attachment course for professionals who wish to develop an understanding of the interplay between childhood trauma experiences and sensory processing.
Professionals with at least an introductory knowledge level of sensory integration, from health, social care or educational backgrounds, working with children or adolescents who have experienced trauma and present with sensory integration dysfunction.
1 day - Registration will open at 9.00 am for a 9.15 am start. The course will finish at 5:00 pm.
Gold and Silver Member Fee: £199 Lunch is included. Accommodation is not included.

Lecturer, Laura Graham, is an independent occupational therapist and Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner. She has spent many years working in community teams for the NHS with both children and adults with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities. Laura is currently working towards completion of her MSc in Sensory Integration.
